What is Imgur and how do you use it
Imgur is website that allows you to upload pictures, create albums, and comment on other people’s content. It also features a host of other cool features that range from games to creative projects made by Imgurians. Imgur has been a huge part of my internet life for years. I use it as a quick way to share something cool I find online, whether it’s a funny image or an interesting news article.
Here are some of the things Imgur is great for:
Sharing images : Imgur has its own image hosting service that allows you to shamelessly share all the images you want – even animated gifs! (Revenge of the spammers, who shall not be named). This is nice because you can tag your pictures with relevant terms, making them easier to find later.
How to upload an image
To upload a picture, go to the site and click on “Upload Image/Video”. Then paste in the link of the picture you want to upload and post. It’s that easy! No need to resize the picture or anything like that. You can also upload from your computer if you want by clicking on “upload image/video” then “Computer.”
There are many reasons for uploading a picture to imgur: it can be used as evidence of something, it can be used as profile pictures, it can be a meme and so on.

How to add text to your image
You can edit your image in many ways. You can either double click the title of your image, or click on the little “i” next to your name to access it. Then you can either select a paragraph from the options below (by clicking on the blue writing), or use the editor itself to add text to it by choosing white text and using the pencil tool (shown above). If you want make more than one edit, simply hit ctrl + A and it will save all of them. It’s that easy!…And fun!

How to share your image
Once you’ve created your masterpiece (or an atrocity), you can share it on all of your social media accounts! That way, everyone will know how much of a nerd you truly are. Just make sure to tag people if you post on Tumblr or Twitter. Or if you go to random Facebook groups and start posting images that people there have already seen, then don’t post them to your wall.
Here are the steps to get your perfectly shared image out there:
1. If you’re on Facebook or Instagram, open up either app and click the Hamburger (magnifier) icon in the top left corner of your screen. From there, click “Upload.
2. If you’re on Twitter, open up the app, click “New Tweet”, and type in your image URL.
3. Go to Tumblr and create a new post with your image by clicking “Upload” on the top right corner of your screen. Type in a title like “LOOK WHAT I MADE!”
4. Go to Reddit, click “Image” on the top left corner of your screen, then click “Upload Image”.
5. If you are on Flickr and have converted your image to a canonical image, you can upload it to your Flickr account by clicking “Upload” on the top right corner of your screen. Type in a title like “LOOK WHAT I MADE!”
6. If you are on PicoBorg, click “Editor” then “Upload Image”.

If you want to find the funniest images on Imgur, look no further than /r/funny. You’ll find everything from memes to real life stories to pictures of cute puppies. You name it, they’ll have it there! You can also find the largest image sets on Imgur to view them all in one place. When an image is submitted to Imgur, it can be voted on by other users. If an image is voted on enough times, it goes to the front page and everybody can see it. Seems simple enough right? Let’s get started!
